EntityList(View)

Feb 22, 2010 at 2:43 PM

Hi there,

In a SF window we would like to achieve a master detail relation. This is very easy with an entitylist and a databorder.

However, we would like to see more items in the entitylist than just the string representation, so the user is able to see in a glance which mandatory data still need to be entered using the detail part.

In other words is there an easy way to view the entitylist as a listview.

TIA

There's no such thing as a EntityListView yet, but you can fake it with a ListView+GridView and an EntityButtons control on the top right. You will have to implement Create, Find, View and Remove by yourself (maybe you don't need all of them). We have done it sometimes and looks quite ok.

Other posibility is to stick with a EntityList and use a DataTemplate for the items. EntityList exposes these property.

Hope is helpfull.

Hi Olmo,

This is what we had done...

We totally missed the EntityTemplate property, we'll go for this, thanks.
